Sierra Mercer is the Mining Sector Manager for the Critical Industrial Technologies (CIT) initiative at the Ontario Centre of Innovation. With over six years of experience in the mining sector and a background in geological engineering, she has worked in underground operations with a focus on ground control and the application of advanced monitoring, digital mapping, and automation technologies. She now works with Ontario-based small- to medium-sized enterprises to support the integration of AI, robotics, and other critical technologies to drive innovation, improve productivity, and advance sustainability across the mining value chain.
